| We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Megaro and despite it > being in a very busy area, our bedroom was quiet and peaceful. We > descended to the basement with no great expectations of a good meal in the > dining room, but were too tired to bother to look for something else, and > we were surprised and delighted with the excellent food and friendly and > helpful service of the staff. Breakfast too was far better than > anticipated and once again our server was extremely pleasant and > efficient. We will recommend the Hotel Megaro to anyone we know heading > off to London. > |

| Had an excellent stay in this well-run, very clean and conveniently located hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and well equipped (though as a tea drinker, an electric kettle and mugs would have been more welcome than the fancy coffee machine). Despite the hotel's location in a very busy area, our room was quiet and we were very comfortable. We went down to the dining room simply because we were too tired after a long flight to go elsewhere, and to our delighted surprise, we had an excellent meal and extremely good friendly service - and this extended to breakfast as well. We have no hesitation in saying this small hotel is excellent value in an expensive city. | |

| Excellent Hotel, only bad party was no plug in the bath and piping hot water out of the cold tap. Rooms are very clean, staff go out of their way to help - would recommend and would happily go back. | |

| I was rather disappointed to find that a hotel directly opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras station didn’t see the need to cater for business travellers by not providing breakfast before 7am. As I was catching the 7am train, I left without breakfast. A few poor design features: The internal signage for rooms is non-existent. When exiting the lift on the floor, there should be clear signs indicating the location of the room numbers. The cappuccino machine in the room might seem to be a good idea. However despite following instructions I was unable to get really hot water from it to make a cup of instant coffee. I would suggest either replacing it or investing in a much cheaper but possibly more practical electric kettle! It would have helped if there had been a diagram of where all the light switches were, and which switch controlled which light. I had to hunt around for quite a while to find out how to switch the wardrobe light off before being able to get to sleep. The room size is fine (room 411) if compact. However I feel it would have benefitted from having a smaller bed as there was very little room to manoeuvre round one side of the bed near the window. There wasnt a mirror near the hairdryer and the location of the full size mirror wasnt close to a socket point. If drying or styling hair, you need a mirror close by. The air conditioning was quite fierce. Despite fiddling round with the room temperature I couldn’t seem to switch it off. The thermostat was also located in a difficult to see place hidden under the plasma screen. |

| Coffee machine floods water everywhere -had to use towels to clean up. (And got no coffee).(Was told by reception this is a common complaint so why isn't it fixed?) Bath sides too high, no hand holds, shower controls ridiculous, impossible to moderate temperature so water too hot - and yes, it went everywhere. Hard on the maids! Not to mention the guests. Loved the room and location but wouldn't stay again unless I could get a safer bath/shower. |

| As a wheelchair user i found the hotel facilities very good. The staff could not have been more helpful and i even got my bag carried over the road to the railway station for me without even requesting it.Its small things like this that make the difference. Would stay again.......but just because your getting good reviews .dont be putting the price up ;)) |

| It was my first time and I'd want to stay there again - it's convenient for me and the quality of room and food is first rate. But two things bugged me - the wet room shower floods everywhere and you end up paddling your way around after a shower; and the built-in hairdryer seems misplaced - in the room I was in you were facing a TV screen rather than a mirror. Sort the flood, I can live with the TV screen, and I'll return. | |
